Community News Updates...

Leaf Collection begins Oct. 7th
leaf collection do's and don'ts
Do's:
Do place leaves in gutter
Do rake into long, narrow rows
Do include leaves and light mulches
Don't:
Don't place leaves on the terrace
Don't rake into large, compact piles
Don't include sticks, grass clippings etc.
*Leaves mixed with sticks, branches, grass clippings, garden waste, or dog feces will NOT be accepted. Please dispose of these items in an appropriate manner.

Bathroom Closures:
Beginning Oct. 1st all park bathrooms EXCEPT Hingiss Park and Session Park will be close until Spring

Tai Chi classes: A new offering from the Kiel Recreation department. Classes will be held in the lower level of the Kiel Community Center on Monday and Friday mornings from 9 am to 9:45 am and runs from Sept. 9th to Nov. 11th. Cost is $28.00 per person for the 10 week session. Registration forms are available on the City of Kiel website www.ci.kiel.wi.us under the Citizen information tab park/recreation

Casino Night Saturday Oct. 5th
The Friends of the Kiel Community Center and the Kiel Lion’s Club have teamed up together to host a “casino night” during our 4th Annual Octobeer event held Oct. 5th, 2019. Our goal is to raise money to support the events and programs offered to the residents of the City of Kiel. During our Octobeer event people can enjoy great food, craft beers, music and a chance to win great prizes.  As part of the “casino night” people will be able to purchase chips to use to play casino games like black jack, Texas Hold’em and roulette. In return they receive tickets which they then place in a bucket to win great prizes.

Parkinson’s Movement & Music Class: (M&M)
will run from Aug. 5th to Sept. 16th (no class on Labor Day).  class size is limited. Held Monday  2- 3 pm at the Kiel Community Center – lower level.  Instructor Michelle Jens, PTA will lead this FREE class of the for people with Parkinson Disease. Come alone or bring your care partner to participate with you. Register by calling Missy at 894-7861 class size is limited

The Kiel Drop-off Site is located at 414 Eighth Street and is open to residents of Kiel as follows:
April 1- October 31
          Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4-7 pm
          Saturdays: 9 am - 1 pm
Month of November
          Saturdays: 9 am - 1 pm
December - March
          Closed.
 
Pickle Ball is played at the City Hall Gym: Wednesday 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Sat. 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

The Kiel Stoelting House is available for rent please call Missy at 894-7861 for information

Works under the direction of the City Fire Department’s EMS Director. The position(s) are part time and hours assigned will reflect part time employment, hourly (nonexempt).
